Join a lantern-lit walking tour to experience the Port Arthur Historic Site by night. Port Arthur can seem a very different place after sunset, full of mystery and intrigue.
Unlike many other ghost tours around the world, visitors on our Ghost Tours have exclusive access to our World Heritage listed Site, so the atmosphere won't be shattered by crowds or traffic.
Are there ghosts? Truth or myth? Either way, the silence and soft glow of the lantern light can sometimes make those long gone seem very close at hand.
If you are joining us for a ghost tour, please make sure that you wear weather appropriate clothing, and comfortable shoes. The 90 minute tour is conducted throughout the year, including winter so it may be cold, wet and windy on site. Please leave your umbrellas behind, they can be dangerous in the dark!
The tour covers just over 2km of walking, at a fairly steady pace, as well as many sets of steps and uneven ground. If you have limited mobility, please seek advice from our friendly staff when making your booking.
